A Tunnock's Teacake is the Edinburgh Live 's coffee break snack of choice, so you can only begin to imagine how excited we were when we found out that a bakery in Leith is making Scotland's iconic treat in doughnut form.
Yes you read that right, Tunnock's Teacake DOUGHNUTS.
The Kilted Donut in Leith is well-known for their adventurous flavour combinations and their Scottish-themed doughnuts are no exception.
The huge filled doughnut is packed full of marshmallow Chantilly cream, coated with a milk chocolate glaze and sprinkled with crushed digestive.
The treat is big enough to halve with someone, not that we're going to.
The Kilted Donut told Edinburgh Live : "We like to try strange flavours and being called Kilted we wanted some Scottish-themed doughnuts on the menu.
"Tunnock's teacakes are a favourite snack of ours - the combination of fluffy mallow and chocolate is just a classic, so we just had to turn it into a doughnut!"
The Great Junction Street shop offers 7 rotating flavours each week, from their catalogue of 40 options.
Other weird flavour combos include a Fiery Cheetos ring doughnut: a doughnut covered in fiery Scotch Bonnet hot sauce glaze from the Bonnie Sauce Co covered in crushed Cheetos.
For those wanting to stay Scottish-inspired there's a cranachan flavour filled doughnut - a "light Chantilly cream filled donut with a fresh raspberry glaze with a sprinkling of oats".
We personally like pretending we're abroad with a Pina Colada - a light Chantilly cream filled donut with a Pineapple glaze.
The Kilted Donut is at 191 Great Junction Street and open every day apart from Monday and Tuesday - if you can't get down to them they have online orders for big boxes of doughnuts every week at 6pm and are on Deliveroo.
