Stop election of 'evil' Tommy Robinson who used Manchester bombing to spew hate

Community leaders and a Labour MP have called on voters to reject far-right extremist Tommy Robinson in the EU Parliament elections.

It comes after it emerged that thug Robinson, 36, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, used the Manchester Arena bombing to try and spread his rabid Islamophobic views.

He is attempting to be elected as a North West MEP.

The Mirror has uncovered tweets from Robinson sent in the days following the 2017 attack, which killed 22 people.

One draws attention to what he believes are Muslims in charge of security at the concert.

Manchester Central MP, Labour ’s Lucy Powell, said: “We must stop him getting a platform to spread his evil.”

The extremist is standing in this week's EU elections (PA)

Mohammed Shafiq, of the Ramadhan Foundation, said: “He is a deeply racist individual, interested in division, not tackling hatred in society.”

A statement posted on Robinson’s website said he doesn’t criticise Muslims, but Islam.

Meanwhile, one of Labour’s top donors, tycoon John Mills, says the party should reindustrialise the UK to see off the threat posed by Nigel Farage.
