'Stop crying!' - Leeds United supporters refer to famous Frank Lampard chant after Everton sacking

Leeds United fans have taken to social media to give their thoughts on relegation rivals Everton sacking manager Frank Lampard, with many going back to an Elland Road classic.

Following news of the former Derby County and Chelsea manager's dismissal earlier this afternoon, many Whites fans took the opportunity to go on social media and get some revenge almost four years in the making.

Fans of all different clubs took to social media, but fans of Jesse Marsch's side in particular seemed to be revelling in the news with some posting videos and singing their famous 'Stop Crying Frank Lampard' chant to the tune of 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out' by Oasis.

The chant originated after the 'Spygate' scandal in 2019, something Lampard deemed as 'unethical' but Whites fans saw the funny side of it, creating a chant around the situation.

After Lampard's Derby beat them in the Championship play-off semi-finals, the Rams players began to sing the chant themselves, meaning many Leeds fans have taken the news as a sign to get back at the manager that cost them promotion back to the Premier League a season early.
