'Stop crying Frank Lampard' - Chelsea boss mocked as Leeds United and Marcelo Bielsa win award

Football fans were shocked after Leeds United and Marcelo Bielsa picked up the FIFA Fair Play award at 'The Best' cermony in Milan.

The club were fined £200,000 by the EFL and received a formal reprimand last season for breaching "good faith" after a club employee was found to be attempting to spy on Frank Lampard's Derby County's training session on behalf of manager Bielsa.

Police were called and Bielsa eventually took full responsibility for the incident, and revealed that he had employed similar tactics on every club throughout the season, with the fallout from the incident proving bitter.

However, Leeds were given the award on the basis of another contentious moment from last season.

During the Championship clash against Aston Villa in April, Leeds went ahead through Mateusz Klich while Villa striker Jonathan Koodjia was down injured.

Leeds had looked like they would stop playing, but carried on and put the ball in the net, prompting fury from Villa's players and the touchline.

Bielsa then ordered his team to allow Villa to score an uncontested equaliser, helping to quell some of the bad blood between the sides.

FIFA have decided that this action showed a dedication to fair play, though some fans were unconvinced that a team with two such controversial moments in six months should be rewarded - while many Leeds fans were quick to mock Lampard and others.
