A raid in north Dublin has seen €140,000 of drugs and €30,000 of stolen property seized and a man arrested.
The search of a premises in Stoneybatter took place yesterday, December 11 under a warrant.
A man was arrested after the cannabis herb and stolen goods including clothes, electrical good and cosmetics were found inside the building.
He remains in custody in Store Street garda station.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí in Store Street have seized €140,000 worth of suspected cannabis herb along with suspected stolen property with an approximate value of €30,000 following a search at a residence in Dublin 7, yesterday 10th December 2020.
"At approximately 5pm yesterday afternoon, a search warrant was executed at a location in the Stoneybatter area. Gardaí discovered cannabis herb believed to be valued at €140,000 (pending analysis).
"Gardaí also seized 200 individual items which included clothing, electrical goods and cosmetics. These items are believed be stolen property and have an approximate value of €30,000.
"One man (40s) has been arrested in connection with this seizure and is currently detained at Store Street Garda Station under Section 4 of Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
"Investigations are ongoing."
