The campus of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., will remain closed through Wednesday and students won't return at all this week.
Broward County Schools announced that the school will be closed Monday for the Presidents Day holiday, and then Tuesday and Wednesday.
Superintendent Robert Runcie said on CNN interview Sunday that the district's goal was to bring teachers back by the end of the week and have students return on Monday, Feb. 26.
In a local television interview, Schools Superintendent Robert Runcie said teachers and faculty would likely return first to the school on Thursday or Friday, but that there would still be no classes while teachers and possibly students have a day or two to come together at the school and meet with counselors if they choose to.
