A specialist wheelchair has been stolen from a Belmont South home, leaving a family distraught.
The girl who used the wheelchair, named Maddison, died last week.
"The family needs the wheelchair back to sell it, so they can pay for her funeral," the girl's occupational therapist, named Lucy, said.
The wheelchair was stolen from the house on Monday or Tuesday.
It has since been spotted in Cardiff. Police are investigating.
Maddison needed the wheelchair because she had a rare brain defect that left her unable to walk and talk since birth.
The family wants to make sure the wheelchair is reused by someone who needs it.
Lucy urged anyone with information about the wheelchair to help return it to the family.
A photo of the wheelchair was posted on Facebook on Wednesday, along with a plea for its return.
