A man has been reunited with his wallet 17 years after it was stolen in a pub.
Ryan Seymour, 37, went to The Elizabethan in Dunfermline, Fife in 2004 with a friend, and when he nipped to the toilet he came back out and found his wallet had been stolen.
But he was 'bemused' to get the wallet back, which had old memories in it such as a VHS membership card, after it was handed in to police last month.
It still contained a VHS home rental card and also one for buying ringtones.
Dad-of--one Ryan, from Lochgelly, Fife, said it has led him to contrast where his life was then, as a party animal 20 something - to where he is now, married and with a toddler.
Graphic designer Ryan said: "The police got in touch four weeks ago to say someone had found my wallet in a hedge.
"It was very near where it was stolen, just down the road from the Elizabethan in Dunfermline.
"It was 17 years ago, but you would be surprised at how much I still remember that day.
"I went to play pool with a friend, nipped to the toilet, and put my wallet down on a table.
"When I came back it was gone, along with the 60 quid inside it.
"I never thought I would see that wallet again.
"I was bemused when I saw it. It's actually in quite a good nick for being in a hedge for 17 years.
"It's full of loads of old cards, old VHS membership card, ringtones card, library card, and my national insurance card.
"It's funny seeing the contrast, back then it was the party life now I'm married with a two-year-old child."
