Stolen Range Rover crashes into house in Hyson Green - as driver gets away

A stolen Range Rover crashed into a parked car and then hit the corner of a house in Hyson Green as the driver fled the scene on foot.

The Range Rover Vogue, stolen overnight from an address in Netherfield, was seen driving at speed in the Forest Road area, Nottinghamshire Police said.

After it failed to stop, the collision happened at the junction of Brushfield Street and Birkin Avenue at around 2.20am on Tuesday (April 28).

No injuries were reported and police said the driver fled the scene on foot.

The fire service attended the incident and structural engineers were called to the house to assess the damage.

There have been no arrests in connection with the incident.

Inquiries are continuing to trace the driver.

A spokeswoman for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said a crew from Stockhill Fire Station attended.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 61 of April 28.
