Stolen dog 'rescued from house in Possil' as owner reveals 'we did it old school'

A Glasgow woman’s beloved pet has been found after a frantic search gathered together to trace her stolen dog.

Kirsteen Marshall posted a desperate plea to the person who had stolen her dog Blake, who had been missing since Monday, October 7.

The 34-year-old spent the hours after his disappearance tracking down and gathering people as part of a make-shift search party.

It came after the Shih Tau Bichon cross was stolen from a local business on Ballater Street in Glasgow at around 9pm on Monday evening.

More than 24 hours after his disappearance, the distressed dog-owner had posted on social media that Blake was found at a property in Possil at around 2am on Thursday, October 10.

The now-relieved Kirsteen said on Facebook: “Blake is home! We rescued him from a house in Possil tonight at 2am.

“We don’t even know where to start. Thank you so much to every single person across the world who shared our posts. It was indeed social media efforts that led us right to the door of where Blake was being held.

“Many lessons have been learned and Blake will never be out of our sight again.

“Let it be known that the people of Glasgow will not give up. Wrong dog, wrong community, wrong city.
