Stolen Audi Avant car is discovered in Bristol as police make two arrests

A stolen high-valued car was discovered in Bristol, leading to the arrests of two people.

Thieves stole a blue Porsche 911 and a green Audi Avant from an address in Warminster in the early hours of Friday, March 6.

In a joint investigation with Avon and Somerset Constabulary, Wiltshire Police recovered the Audi in Bristol days later on March 10, Somerset Live reports.

The Porsche was then recovered in Frome on Sunday (March 29) before two men, a 23-year-old and 35-year-old, were arrested by officers.

The pair were taken in to custody and have since been released under investigation.

PC Becki Mitchell said: "This is a good example of successful joint working with a neighbouring force to retrieve two high value stolen vehicles.

"Thanks to solid investigative work in both police services we have been able to identify the suspects and stolen property."
