Stoke Newington stabbing: Four more arrests in connection with fatal knife attack

Four more people have been arrested in connection with a fatal knife attack in Stoke Newington.

A 47-year-old man died on Wednesday afternoon to reports of a stabbing in Matthias Road, in the borough of Hackney.

He died at the scene at 6.10pm and his cause of death has been determined as a "stab wound to the heart and haemorrhage".

Formal identification is yet to take place though the victim is thought to be Steven Brown, who lived in Hackney.

Three men aged 25 have been arrested alongside a 23-year-old man on Saturday.

They are all in custody at a north London police station and held on suspicion of murder.

On Wednesday, one woman, aged 33, and three men, aged 67, 62 and 58, were arrested on suspicion of murder.

They have all been released under investigation.
