(Reuters) - Stoke City have signed Badou Ndiaye from Galatasaray for 16 million euros (14.01 million pounds) after securing a work permit, the club said on their website (www.stokecityfc.com) on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old Senegal international midfielder has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal.

"The Premier League is a league that everybody wants to play in, so I am proud to be here, but I know that I have to continue to improve and do everything I can to help Stoke City," he said.

Ndiaye is Stoke's third signing in the window, alongside Moritz Bauer from Rubin Kazan and the Kostas Stafylidis, who is on loan from FC Augsburg.

Ndiaye has scored 50 goals in 205 club appearances and has been capped eight times by Senegal.
