Stocks in news: BSE, PB Fintech, Nykaa, Airtel, and LIC

Markets witnessed profit-taking on Tuesday after Monday's sharp rally, with benchmark indices ending lower amid weakness in heavyweight stocks and caution surrounding the new closing auction mechanism.

Going ahead, market participants will closely track the outcome of the RBI Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting, with the policy announcement scheduled in early hours of Wednesday's trading session.

In today's trade, shares of BSE, PB Fintech, Nykaa, Airtel, LIC among others will be in focus due to various news developments and first quarter results.

Power Grid, PB Fintech

Shares of Power Grid and PB Fintech will be in focus as the companies will announce their first quarter results.

BSE

India's oldest exchange BSE Ltd reported a 62% year-on-year (YoY) rise in consolidated net profit attributable to shareholders for the June quarter, helped by strong growth in revenue from operations and higher investment income. The exchange posted profit attributable to shareholders of the holding company at Rs 874 crore for the quarter ended June 2026, compared with Rs 539 crore in the same quarter last year.

Bharti Airtel

Telecom major Bharti Airtel on Tuesday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 8,167 crore for the April-June quarter of FY27, marking a more than 37% year-on-year increase from the Rs 5,948 crore net profit reported in the same period last year.

Nykaa

India's FSN E-Commerce Ventures, which operates beauty and fashion retailer Nykaa, reported a more than three-fold rise in quarterly profit on Tuesday, boosted by growth in its beauty business and a sharp acceleration in fashion sales. The company's consolidated net profit rose to 80 crore ($8.39 million) in the quarter ended ‌June 2026, ⁠from 23.3 crore a year earlier.

LIC

The government will open an offer for sale in Life Insurance Corp (LIC) on Tuesday for non-retail investors, as it moves to reduce its stake in the country's largest insurer and meet minimum public shareholding milestones ahead of schedule. Retail investors will be able to bid on Wednesday.
