The tournament took place on July 1 and was streamed to thousands on YouTube with live updates posted on Twitter as hundreds attended at the event.

Slough Scorpionz ended up winning the tournament which, alongside the prize money, will see them rewarded with the opportunity to play against Arsenal Invincible squad member, William Gallas, and ex-Stoke City forward, Charlie Adam.

The tournament gives young and talented players from across the country the opportunity to showcase their skills on a stage with thousands of eyes on them.

Stockport has been known for producing successful professional athletes such as Phil Foden, a treble-winning footballer for Manchester City.

Bobby Olign, an ex-footballer for Stockport’s Marple Villa, said: “I think they made Stockport proud to be honest, we have had talents such as Foden but this one hits closer to home.”
