A road in Longsight has been closed after a van caught fire.
The vehicle went up in flames on Stockport Road near to the junction of Kirkmanshulme Lane shortly before 5pm on Monday.
Part of the A6 has been closed while police and fire crews attend the scene.
The fire is understood to be out and no one was injured.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 4.55pm this evening to Kirkmanshulme Lane in Manchester to a transit van on fire.
"We attended using a hose reel and breathing apparatus.
"No one was hurt and we are now leaving the scene."
