Now that Stockport is back open for business, local pubs and breweries can whirl back into action and start serving local communities again.
That's why it's so good to see Stockport Beer Week back on again in 2021 to help encourage people to give support to the beer industry.
The event will be running from September 23 to October 3 and has been organised alongside the National Cask Ale Week with volunteers from the Stockport branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).

To keep up with the community spirit of the event, Many local organisations and businesses are showing their support including Totally Stockport and Robinsons Brewery.
With a mix of face-to-face and independent activities to get stuck in there's plenty for participants to do at the event, including a beer and food matching event with renowned beer sommelier Annabel Smith.

Other activities include a meet the brewer with Thirst Class Brewery from Reddish while the popular pub cellar tours return - If you would rather do things independently, there are cask beer Ale Trails and a Mystery Pub competition with interesting beery prizes.
Participants can also enjoy themed and local beers which will be featured in some pubs.
Beer Week organiser Chris Walkden said “Lots of people and organisations are working hard to increase footfall in Stockport to help businesses recover from an awful 18 months and we hope this event will help in some way.
"The Beer Week is designed to help people get safely back to the pub. There are plenty of events to choose from, so please support them if you can. If we don’t use our excellent pubs, we will lose them.”
All activities at the event will be free except the Beer and Food Tasting which is ticket only for £10 - you can buy the ticket from the Petersgate Tap from mid-September.
