Stockbridge Shelter charity shop's huge designer sale kicks off tomorrow with Jimmy Choo and more

It's nearly that time of the year again, when you can pick up incredible bargains at Shelter Scotland's annual designer sale, with all the proceeds going to the charity.

Thrifty shoppers are set to descend on Shelter Scotland’s Stockbridge store tomorrow (Friday 3 January) from 10am when the doors will open to eager customer.

Now in its seventeenth  year, the sale has become a "must-attend" event for bargain-hunters - and this year is no different.

As expected, there will be everything from designer bargains to collectibles at a fraction of retail price, including goodies from Liberty, Mulberry and Jimmy Choo.

One of the top featured items is a rare Art Nouveau book by Czech painter, illustrator and graphic artist Alphonse Mucha, which has even been signed by the artist and is one of only 252 produced.

There will also be a limited edition designer umbrella by BLUNT Umbrellas to mark the anniversary of women’s suffrage and a Mulberry Walter briefcase up for grabs.

If this doesn't thrill you, maybe a Jimmy Choo stiletto peep toe shoes and Liberty ties will? Or a selection of cult games, including Dungeons and Dragons Castle Ravenloft, Power Grid, Tokaido, Android and Ghost Stories?

Pete Jew, manager of Shelter Scotland’s Stockbridge shop, said: “This is our 17 annual January event and I’m delighted to say that we have a fantastic array of designer clothes and collectibles and, as ever, we are looking forward to welcoming eager shoppers looking for real bargains.

“From Liberty to Jimmy Choo along with the wonderful illustrated book by Alphonse Mucha the items on sale are fantastic and the number of designer label bargains is amazing.

“This annual event can only happen because of the generosity of our customers and supporters who every year help us raise as much money as possible to support Shelter Scotland’s work to help people struggling with bad housing and homelessness.”

All funds raised from the sale will go towards Shelter Scotland’s work to help homeless and "badly housed households" across Scotland. The charity also runs a free national helpline which provides support and advice to people struggling with their housing.
