For the first time in franchise history, the New York Giants were able to accomplish something, although it wasn’t exactly an honor to be proud of.
The Giants have lost every game played in the months of October and November, falling to the Chicago Bears, 19-14, on Sunday at Soldier Field.
The last game the Giants won came back in September against the Washington Redskins, which seems like a million years ago given how the last two months of the season have transpired — a horrendous down spiral.
With that said, whose stock is up and down for the Giants following the loss to the Bears.? Let’s take a look.

Stock up: Markus Golden
With each passing game, Golden continues to show that he is, in fact, back to his former double-digit sack self.
Golden added another sack to his 2019 total, which is rests at 7.5. He also had a few batted balls at the line of scrimmage and several pressures, making his presence known and felt on defense.
Given the way his season has gone, Golden is going to be in line for a much bigger payday and if the Giants were smart about it, they would sign him to a contract extension immediately.
Stock down: Aldrick Rosas
A year ago. Rosas was an All-Pro kicker and looked like he finally had turned the corner as far as his career goes. A year later, Rosas has reverted back to the guy we saw in 2017, making critical mistakes and costly misses.
Rosas missed two field goals, although granted, one was due to a botched snap. But the miss still goes to Rosas’ record, plus he’s had a tendency for missing kicks over the last few games.
To go along with the two missed field goals, Rosas also had a kickoff go out of bounds.
Rosas is struggling, and if he continues, he might find himself out of a job really soon.

Stock up: Alec Ogletree
For a better part of the season, Ogletree has struggled in coverage, but on Sunday, he made a key play to prevent the Bears from scoring early on.
Ogletree recorded his first interception of the season, picking off a pass by Mitchell Trubisky in the end zone, and kept the game at 0-0.
A year ago, Ogletree had five interceptions for the Giants, so he’s been known to make key plays like that when needed. He had his moments where he struggled in coverage, but for the most part, Ogletree played well when needed.
Stock down: Daniel Jones
Granted, this is a learning experience for the rookie, but with that said, Jones isn’t having the best start to his NFL career.
Not only has he lost his seventh straight game, but his rate of turnovers is extremely alarming. Jones lost another fumble on Sunday and he also nearly added two more interceptions to his turnover number, but fortunately for him, they were dropped.
Yes, he did throw two more touchdown passes, but that doesn’t cover up the fact that he had a rather poor performance against a Bears team that has been struggling all season.

Stock up: Julian Love
Love hadn’t seen much playing time during his rookie season, but the Giants had seen enough of the struggles in the secondary, especially with DeAndre Baker and Antoine Bethea, so Love got his chance to play a lot more.
Love made the Giants look good on the opportunity given to him with a strong performance, making key plays to prevent at least two Bears touchdowns.
Love also had the first interception of his career, picking off a pass from Mitchell Trubisky. Love clearly made his case on Sunday that he deserves to be a starter and to get a lot more playing time in the secondary.
Stock down: Saquon Barkley
It’s very rare to find Barkley on this side of the list, but it’s very clear that Barkley hasn’t been the same player since returning from injury.
Whether he’s still hurting or not is unclear, but Barkley doesn’t look the same. Granted, he did better than the one-yard rushing performance he had two weeks ago against the New York Jets, gaining 59 yards on 17 carries.
Barkley had a costly drop in the game in which, if he hauls in the pass, it’s a likely touchdown for the Giants.
All in all, Barkley hasn’t looked like the same player we all saw early on in the season, and you really have to wonder if he’s concealing some sort of injury.
