Is the stock market open on Good Friday? As the coronavirus pandemic makes planning ahead seem like a bygone luxury and dissolves time for people working from home, one might have forgotten that we actually have a stock market holiday on Friday.
The NYSE, Nasdaq and bond markets are fully closed on Friday April 10.
However, on Thursday — the Thursday before Easter known as Maundy Thursday — bond markets close early, at 2 p.m.
The stock market holds regular hours on Thursday and will return to its normal schedule on Monday, April 13.
The next full market holiday is Memorial Day. This year, Memorial Day lands on Monday, May 25.
