Still Game's Greg Hemphill gives fans the giggles after showing off unusual Valentine's Day dinner

Still Game's Greg Hemphill appeared to get his dates mixed up as he tucked into an unusual Valentine's dinner and showed off his Las Vegas wedding picture.

Greg who played Craiglang pensioner Victor McDade in the much loved BBC comedy series seemed to be a tad confused, like his geriatric character, as he revealed what he'd tucked into for the most romantic day of the year.

And the actor who is married to fellow actor Julie Wilson Nimmo aka Miss Hoolie from children's BBC TV series Balamory revealed he was in his element as he bucked tradition, despite posting up a romantic wedding picture showing fans he was a romantic at heart.

Greg, who has two sons with Julie, and has been staying in Elie, Fife in lockdown after selling up the family home he had in Glasgow, showed off his plate much to the amusement of fans.

Putting up a picture of turkey with gravy, sprouts, stuffing, roasties, parsnips, cauliflower and peas he wrote online: "Show me in the book where it says you can’t have a Christmas dinner on Valentines Day. Show me."

The tasty looking but unseasonal meal divided followers on his Twitter.

After one person asked ' Where's the roasties' Greg replied: "They’re there. Small fellas as I’m not a big roast tottie guy. Family had the big yins though. They’re there sleep easy."

Another suggested: "Not a Christmas dinner... no pigs in blankets to kick off, and WTF is that gravy man?"

One cheeky fan said: "I’d be f***ing fuming if I got that in prison never mind for my Xmas dinner." while another said: "That's Xmas Dinner? Where? The Sally Army shelter?"

And one fan hinted it might not be the best option for a night of romance explaining: "Sprouts on Valentines? Who says romance is dead, eh?"

Greg thankfully proved he was really a romantic at heart after posting up a black and white picture of himself and wife Julie taken when they got married in a hot air balloon in Vegas.

The couple were also serenaded by an Elvis impersonator at their wedding in 1999.

He wrote 'Happy Valentines Day' to Julie while comic book writer and Kick Ass creator Mark Miller joked: "I still can't believe you had this life-size model of the CN Tower built over East Kilbride for this proposal, Gregster!"
