Still Game's Ford Kiernan thanked a Canadian fan for buying his and Greg Hemphill's Jack and Victor whisky despite the huge cost of additional taxes.
Ford and Greg recently made their show themed whisky bottles available to fans and whisky drinkers living in the UK, certain US states, Canada, Ireland, Australia and beyond.
However, one fan living in Ontario in Canada has revealed that they were charged extra taxes by the government there in order to receive their prized bottle of Jack and Victor whisky.
The fan posted a breakdown of the unexpected fees and added that they were in addition to shipping charges and the cost of the bottle.
The fan wrote: "Canadian buyers of Jack & Victor Whiskey in Ontario beware: These are the taxes and fees we had to pay on top of the cost of one bottle and shipping fees. I’m sure it will be worth it! @greghemphill96 @FordKiernan1."
The total charges amount to $169.43 in Canada which is the equivalent of around £97.41.
Seeing the huge excess amount on the bottle of whisky which costs £35 to buy from their website, Ford admitted he as shocked.
He wrote: "Oooft that’s nippy! Cheers for sticking wi it."
The fan replied: "Thanks, can't wait for it to arrive!"
