Still Game's Ford Kiernan asks if Harry and Meghan chat will become Emmerdale style series

Still Game star Ford Kiernan suggested watching Harry and Meghan was a bit like Emmerdale - and asked viewers: "Is it tae be on every Monday?"

The Glasgow born funny man and acting and writing talent behind the BBC and now Netflix show decided like most of Scotland, to see what the Duke and Duchess told Oprah during their big ITV chat, and appeared to have mixed views following their revelations.

He initially admitted he was amused by Meghan's news that her first job was at frozen yoghurt outlet Humphrey Yogart after writing: "Ha ha! Humphrey yogurt."

And he told followers a bit later on: "Here! That’s the wean no a Prince noo!"

But after a chat with Prince Harry was promised by Oprah following the commercial break, Ford commented: "Right. wheel in the other eejit!"

Hearing the couple talk about their difficulties in the UK Ford appeared to be agitated and added: "I'm oot! This is not the loaded toast as earlier promised."

But then, clearly intrigued by the discussion he asked: "Is it tae be on every Monday? It’s a bit like Emmerdale."

Fans of Ford were quick to add their opinion with one saying: "23 nights at the secc."

Another added: "I know, Isa has better stories."

Still Game colleague Sanjeev Kohli, who played Navid, had his take on the interview, referring to late eighties singer Colonel Abrahams who had a song called Trapped saying: "Of COURSE Prince Harry felt trapped. Colonel Abrams felt trapped & he was only a colonel"

And referencing Harry and Meghan's chickens, he added: "Chicken coop sales have already gone THROUGH THE ROOF"
