Still Game actor Greg Hemphill to star in new 80s fantasy adventure movie Man & Witch

Still Game actor Greg Hemphill doesn't seem to have had his feet up for too long since we waved goodbye to the iconic show in March of 2019, having shared the news of a brand new Jack and Victor blended whisky that will be released in the near future.

And now Glasgow Live can reveal that the 51-year-old comedian and writer will be appearing on the big screen via his role in new 80s fantasy adventure movie Man & Witch: The Dance of A Thousand Steps.

Filming has recently wrapped up production - in Knightswood Community Hall no less - for the flick, with scenes shot around the city in places such as Mugdock Park over the past few weeks and months.

Chewin' The Fat and Still Game director and producer Michael Hines shared a pic on Twitter confirming that filming had wrapped, tagging cast and crew in his post such as Greg Hemphill, Bodyguard star Stephen Hunter-Dunn and Strictly star Giovanni Pernice.

The movie, dubbed 'peak 80s nostalgia', also stars the likes of Lord Of The Rings and The Goonies actor Sean Astin, Christopher Lloyd (aka Doc from Back To The Future), Lost's Michael Emerson and The Neverending Story star Tami Stronach.

And if that wasn't enough to get you excited for the release, it also features Jim Henson puppets as some of the talking animal characters - like those that featured in beloved 80s movies such as Labyrinth (starring David Bowie) and The Dark Crystal.

The press release for the flick says it's a "heartwarming homage to the lo-fi fantasy films of the 80s" and "a comic adventure that both fulfils and subverts the expectations of what a fantasy universe can be".
