Justin Bieber has officially joined the cast of Zoolander 2, as revealed on his Instagram and Twitter feeds this morning.

The singer can be seen trying to out-blue steel Ben Stiller in the shot, which the actor also retweeted earlier today. Bieber had previously hinted at an appearance on Facebook, telling fans that he was “working on something big” in Europe. He then wrote: “To learn more follow me on Fahlo. He is so hot right now”.

He joins a cast that also includes Penelope Cruz, Billy Zane, Fred Armisen, Will Ferrell, Kristen Wiig and Lewis Hamilton, as well as returning stars Stiller and Owen Wilson. There are also rumours that Jonah Hill, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian West and Anna Wintour will all have cameo roles.

“Last year, we started looking at it again,” Stiller said in a recent interview with ComingSoon.net, “and it seemed like the confluence of events of everybody wanting to do do it, and it got to a point where it actually came together. And it’s exciting to finally be able to talk about it, too.”

Little is known about specific plot details but the film reportedly follows male models Derek and Hansel as a rival company attempts to take them out of the industry. The shoot was kicked off with the pair on the catwalk at Paris Fashion Week last month.

The film hits cinemas 12 February 2016.
