BHOPAL: Hot and humid weather conditions prevailed across the state on Monday. As a result, Bhopal recorded 33.6 degrees Celsius while a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius was recorded in Gwalior and Chambal divisions.
Met officials said that monsoon is now poised to start its withdrawal from October 6 from various parts of Rajasthan, followed by other regions of north India.
Meanwhile, rain and thunder continued in Chhindwara and Pachmarhi, recording 2 mm and 1 mm rainfall rain, respectively, on Monday.
Met office stated in a release that rain and thunder showers are expected at few places in the districts of Jabalpur, Gwalior, Chambal, Bhopal, Indore and Ujjain divisions during the next 24 hours.
Districts of Annuppur, Dindori, Panna and Damoh are also expected to receive some rainfall, weatherman stated. Widespread rainfall was experienced over Depalpur near Indore ( 8mm) and various places of Harda, Betul, Seoni, Chhindwara etc in the last 24 hours.
