Following their success away at Moffat the previous week, a squad of 15 Stewartry under-14s met at Greenlaw on Sunday in confident mood to play Annan in the autumn sunshine.
They played for an hour in three, 20 minute segments.
The Annan forwards were physically bigger and came out on top in the first segment, leading three tries to one.
The Stewartry boys rallied in the second and third segments as they gained in confidence.
