Stewartry RFC’s junior section welcomed their counterparts from Annan on Sunday.
As lockdown restrictions are eased, competition between clubs is beginning to be reintroduced, with several Stewartry boys and girls teams having “touch” games against Annan.
Despite the worsening weather, there was plenty of effort and enthusiasm on show.
In the girls’ matches, Annan had a few more senior and experienced players than the Sharkettes and so scored more but both sides used the opportunity for the senior players to encourage and coach the more junior and less experienced players.
