Stewartry Pony Club members enjoy successful outing at Area 19 Tetrathlon competition

Three Stewartry Pony Club members competed at the area 19 Tetrathlon recently.

Amelia Craig, with Ani, took part in the open section. They had a super clear Xcountry which placed them second overall and saw them qualify for the championships in August in Warwickshire.

Kristina Campbell, with her young pony Murray, were in the juniors. They did well in the athletics elements but had reservations over the Xcountry as Murray had never competed at the90cm level. However, they got round with just a few faults and ended up in fifth place with another qualifier for the champs.

Oliver Campbell with his super pony Bill had a fantastic day winning both the shoot and the run. They then put in a fabulous Xcountry round which secured the win in the mini boys class.

Overall the weekend was super, with parents having a busy and sociable time catching up with other parents from all over Scotland whilst helping running the various elements of the competition.

The children, whilst competitive, are all great friends and they love these events when they can have some quality time with their favourite competitors.
