A mother and her daughter-in-law are going to zip across the Clyde for charity.

Kate and Lauren Kirkpatrick are taking on the challenge for Marie Curie in Glasgow on Saturday, September 7.

Daring Kate, who is a health care assistant for the charity, said: “I’ve never zipwired across the Clyde before but I’ve abseiled from the crane in Glasgow for Turning Point Scotland.

“It’s just a case of hanging on! It shouldn’t take long, I’d think it would only be three or four minutes.

“I work for Marie Curie and I just think it’s a great cause plus a bit of fundraising never goes amiss.”
