Stewartry comes to a standstill as Scotland fans support Steve Clarke's boys

The Stewartry almost came to a standstill on Monday afternoon as Scotland kicked off their Euro 2020 campaign.

People across the area were desperate to see the country’s men’s side take part in an international tournament for the first time since 1998.

But there was no happy ending as Steve Clarke’s team lost 2-0.

Susan and Natalie from Keystore in Kirkcudbright donated Saltire flags and bags of crisps to pupils at Kirkcudbright Primary.

Children across the school watched the match in the classroom, with some from P5 to P7 choosing to stay behind at the end of the day to watch the conclusion of the match.
