Stuart Kettlewell will take sole charge of Ross County – with Steven Ferguson moving up to become chief executive officer.
The Staggies have confirmed a reshuffle with Ferguson deciding he no longer wants to be in frontline management.
Kettlewell has now moved to appoint Richard Brittain as assistant manager and Don Cowie as first-team coach.
Cowie has now decided to hang up his boots and to start his coaching career.
A County statement: “A thorough and extensive review of club operations has been carried out in recent weeks.
“Although there has been a reduction in head count, it is felt the club is in a stronger position to handle the very difficult challenges that have faced us in recent times and will continue to test us.”
Ferguson and Kettlewell had been in charge at Ross County for two and a half years.
The pair were put in charge as the Staggies were relegated but the duo took them back up by winning the Championship and the Irn Bru Cup.
They also safeguard the Dingwall club’s status in the Premiership last season.
Ferguson will now move upstairs where he will be used in the football, commercial, operations, academy and community departments.
