Steven Swinfen missing: Man who hasn't been seen for 'prolonged period' could be in Fife

A missing man who hasn't been seen for a "prolonged period" could be in Fife, according to police.

Officers have issued a public appeal in a bid to trace Steven Swinfen (34) – who was last seen at around 4pm on March 16.

They say he is missing from the Glasgow area but believe he may have travelled to Fife, and could be in Dunfermline town centre.

His family are said to be growing increasingly concerned, with his disappearance described as "out of character".

He said to be around 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build with black hair and brown eyes. When he went missing he was wearing a navy long-sleeved jumper, grey trousers and black footwear.

Sergeant David McCabe from Police Scotland says "Steven has been missing for a prolonged period now, this is out of character for him and his family are understandably worried about him.

"We have a number of police resources committed to tracing Steven and I am now looking for the assistance of the local community."

Anyone with information on his current whereabouts should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 2447 of 16 March.
