Steven Spielberg becomes first director to gross $10B at box office thanks to 'Ready Player One'

"Ready Player One" has finally helped Steven Spielberg pay off a few bills.

With the success of the legendary director's latest flick, Spielberg has now brought in more than $10 billion at the box office, including inflation, making him the first filmmaker to do so.

"Ready Player One" has brought in just $114 million domestically so far, paling in comparison to hits like "Jurassic Park," "ET" and "Jaws." Other top contenders include "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "Saving Private Ryan."

Spielberg is unlikely to lose the top spot any time soon, as Peter Jackson comes in behind him with just $6.52 billion at the box office and Michael Bay in third with a measly $6.41 billion.

No women rank in the top 10, though Patty Jenkins could move up the list with a few more "Wonder Woman" movies.
