Steven Sims Jr.’s 65-yard TD gives the Patriots their first deficit of the season

For the first time all season, the New England Patriots are trailing, and it comes at the hands of arguably the worst non-tanking team in the NFL.

Midway through the first quarter, Redskins QB Colt McCoy hooked up with WR Steven Sims Jr. near the right sideline, and Sims was able to break a couple of tackles and take the ball 65-yards to the house.

It was only the second touchdown that the Patriots’ top-ranked defense has given up all season.

Though it’s still early in the game, the Redskins have started about as well as they could have hoped. The touchdown just boosts the Washington defense, who has gotten to Tom Brady twice so far, forcing a punt early on.
