Stephen Robinson rules himself out of Kilmarnock job as managerial hunt continues

Stephen Robinson has ruled himself out of the running for the Kilmarnock job.

The former Motherwell boss said that the vacant manager position at Rugby Park was not for him "at this moment in time".

Robinson quit the Steelmen last month with the 46-year-old among the favourites to succeed Alex Dyer.

The Northern Irishman and fellow countryman Tommy Wright are two of the fan picks for the top job.

It comes as former Killie striker Kris Boyd said that the ex St Johnstone boss would be a 'good fit' for the Ayrshire side.

Robinson said on Sky Sports today: "I'm feeling very refreshed and have enjoyed my time out.

"Kilmarnock is available but is not for me at this moment in time.

"It's a good club and there are good candidates that have been mentioned.

"But I'm enjoying my rest at the moment."
