Steven Pressley delivers brutal Rangers and Celtic prediction as he pinpoints 'inexperience' factor in defensive barb

Confident Steven Pressley reckons Rangers will have enough to see of an "inexperienced" Celtic side on derby day.

The Parkhead side have been reborn under Ange Postecoglou and have racked up successive 6-0 Premiership wins in a blistering start to the new campaign.

In contrast, Rangers have yet to find top gear as they look to recapture the magic of the unbeaten league campaign last term.

The two sides will collide at Ibrox on Sunday and despite the difference in early season showings, Pressley can only see one winner.

He believes the exploits last season of Steven Gerrard's men will carry them through on derby day.

The former Hoops defender believes rookie defenders Stephen Welsh and Anthony Ralston could be the undoing of Celtic at a packed Ibrox.

He told Sky Sports : "I think it's a game where Rangers will be too strong for them.

"I think Celtic are showing signs of the aggressive style of football that Celtic fans want to see, but I still have concerns about them defensively.

"They have a lot of inexperience in there, the likes of (Stephen) Welsh and (Anthony) Ralston. These types of players that haven't experience winning the league as of yet.

"I think Rangers do have the strength needed for this fixture."
