Steven Mullaney says Nottinghamshire's team spirit is 'absolutely incredible' despite extensive changes to the squad.
Ben Slater, Ben Duckett, Zak Chappell and Joe Clarke all arrived at the back of last season or over the winter as Notts looked to rebuild following an ultimately disappointing second half of 2018.
Notts have regularly been accused of poaching players from other clubs and creating a manufactured team, but Mullaney says the group already has a strong bond ahead of the second game of the season, against Somerset at Trent Bridge from Thursday.
The Notts skipper feels that was summed up by Clarke backing Mullaney to declare their second innings against Yorkshire when the former Worcestershire man was three runs short of his second century of the match.

"The chemistry is absolutely incredible. The declaration sums that up probably," Mullaney said.
"Joe was the first one to tell me that the team came first. If I was on 97 not I'd have declared on myself without hesitation.
"The team spirit is great. We've got on well very quickly, but we're still getting to know each other.
"We've had four great lads coming in. We're close and that will help us in the next five months.
"We're in a great place after the Yorkshire game. Bring on Somerset."

However, head coach Peter Moores was thrilled with the vast majority of his team's performance at Trent Bridge.
"We couldn't have done much more. The first three days was hopefully a sign of things to come," he said.
"Credit to Joe Root and Gary Ballance for how they played. The pitch lost its pace unfortunately, but it was a good cricket pitch and there's no criticism of the groundsman.
"We showed resilience at times and that's a good trait to have.
"We're looking forward to what should be a really good contest this time."
Notts will again be without fast bowler Zak Chappell (side strain) and off spinner Matt Carter (hip), however, both could play second team cricket in the next week.
Chris Nash has overcome a hamstring strain to take his place in the squad after a second innings half century against Yorkshire.
