Stephen Kingsley makes Hearts v Hibs 'control' claim as he talks Jambos gameplan

Stephen Kingsley says Hearts will try to control next weekend's Scottish Cup semi-final against Hibs.

The Jambos full-back says he doesn't intend to change his game too much for the Edinburgh derby clash, and still plans to be involved in the attacking third.

Kingsley has been impressive since arriving at Tynecastle in the summer and netted twice in his league debut against Dundee.

He told the official Hearts website: "You have to adjust your game a little bit in terms of your defensive responsibilities but I’m not going to fully change the way I play.

"We, as a team, want to try and get the ball and control the game, and I want to go and attack and be involved, and be creative in the final third.

“I’m not going to change the way I play. Me and everyone else need to make sure that we’re ready for it."

Kingsley says the Hearts players won't need any motivation going into a match against their biggest rivals.

He added: "I don't think it will be hard to get ourselves up and ready for it. The occasion will build up during the week and the boys will be ready for it.

“We’ve had a good pre-season. I obviously came in a wee bit later but I know the boys have done a lot in pre-season and had a lot of games.

“I know Hibs have had a lot more competitive games than us but I feel like we’re in a great position to really go and compete next week.”
