Steven Gerrard welcomes Premier League return with lookalike son Lio

Steven Gerrard has clearly been missing the Premier League, as he sat down last night with son Lio, to watch the first matches following the coronavirus crisis.

Football has been away for over 100 days and Steven had clearly missed seeing the teams in action.

On Wednesday night he shared a photo of him and three-year-old Lio sitting down on the sofa ahead of kick off.

Liverpool legend Gerrard had his arms round his son as they both smiled at the camera.

He captioned the snap: "Watching the footy (football emoji)"

And his followers were quick to comment on the resemblance between father and son.

Behnaz_mirhadi said: "So cute just like you."

Carlos_bueno05 said: "King and little King."

missstevieg8 said: "He''s really starting to look like you now."

And lee_moorcroft said: "Hope we see that lil blondie wearing the number 8 of Liverpool one day ... ynwa cap."

Lio has recently celebrated his third birthday and dad Steven went all out, buying him a Range Rover.

Despite being restricted by lockdown rules, it seemed Gerrard wanted to celebrate the momentous occasion as he appeared to treat her three-year-old to some incredible gifts.

This included a blue child's ride-on Range Rover and what looked like a black Jeep Wrangler toy.

And it looks like Lio loved his new presents - as he took to the wheel with a massive grin in a cute pic, snapped by Gerrard.
