Steven Gerrard shares video message from 'hero' Ricky Gervais

Steven Gerrard celebrated his birthday on Monday, and while thanking fans for their well wishes, he shared a video he received from his "hero", Ricky Gervais.

The Liverpool FC legend is now 42, and has been inundated with messages from fans around the globe, as well as former teammates and current Liverpool players including Jordan Henderson. But one message was his "favourite".

In the clip, Ricky reverted back into David Brent and said: "Ricky Gervais... Steven Gerrard. Yeah? You like comedy, I like football so..." before interlocking his hands as Brent does in an iconic The Office scene.
