Steven Gerrard's Rangers press conference in full as he pinpoints the 'really interesting' Willem II move he has to be alert to

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard knows he'll have to be on his toes against wily Willem II boss Adrie Koster.

The Ibrox club face a tricky Europa League third qualifying round tie on Thursday, as they look to advance to a play-off against Hajduk Split or Galatasaray.

The Eredivisie side have scored nine goals without reply in their past two fixtures, and will provide a stiff test.

And Rangers boss Gerrard knows he'll need all of his tactical nous against experienced Koster.

He said: "I watched the last game they played against Feyenoord before the lockdown kicked in, which was an interesting watch.

"We've also watched all the games they've played this season - two in the league and one against Progres in the previous qualifier.

"So we've got a really good idea of this team; what they're about, their strengths and weaknesses.

"They carry a big threat. They normally have played a 4-2-3-1 formation.

"They made some really interesting changes at the weekend at half-time, he (Koster) wasn't getting much joy and he changed people that had been playing in positions consistently and went a little bit different.

"So I'm really looking forward to seeing what team they decide to play.

"That will give me a big indication how it will look."
