Liverpool ace trolls Chelsea on Twitter as Jurgen Klopp's side secure huge win in the title race

Liverpool are two points ahead of Man City in the title race with four games of the season left to play following their 2-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday.

Level at the break after seeing Pep Guardiola's side beat Crystal Palace earlier in the day, goals from Sadio Mane and an absolute rocket from Mohamed Salah sealed a crucial win for the Reds.

It could have been very different in the second half, however, if Eden Hazard had taken his chances.

The Belgian international struck the base of the post with just Alisson to beat shortly after Salah's goal, before then seeing his low shot saved by the Brazilian goalkeeper moments later.

Man City can go back ahead of Liverpool in the title race next week if they win their game in hand, although that comes against great rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Much was made of the game between Liverpool and Chelsea five years ago ahead of kick-off on Merseyside.

Looking on course to win the Premier League for the very first time after a terrific run of form from January onwards, Steven Gerrard's infamous slip allowed Demba Ba to score and give City the edge in the title race.

The Blues tweeted the video of the ex-midfielder's slip ahead of the game and it did go down very well with supporters.

However, the win for the Reds on Sunday afternoon saw the club's supporters reply to the tweet in their droves.

Liverpool U23 striker Bobby Duncan, who is in fact Gerrard's cousin, was one of those to reply and it was certainly well received by their fanbase.

He tweeted: "Safe trip back to London."

Man City are currently 4/5 with Sky Bet to regain their league title, with the Reds priced at 11/10 to win it for the very first time.
