Steven Gerrard reiterates Rangers support for Glen Kamara and Kemar Roofe as fans display banner

Rangers fans and Steven Gerrard have reiterated their support for Glen Kamara and Kemar Roofe with a 'we stand together' banner at their training base.

Kamara was caught up in a racism row with Sparta Prague as the midfielder was allegedly called an a "f****** monkey" by Ondrej Kudela.

The incident sparked an angry reaction from Gerrard s players as Kudela pleaded his innocence and insisted he called the Ibrox star "a f****** guy” instead.

Rangers were quick to jump to Kamara's defence as Connor Goldson and Bongani Zungu expressed their anger on their pitch, while the flashpoint spilt over into the tunnel at full-time.

Gerrard pledged his support to Kamara in his post-match press conference, while Slavia backed their player's version of events and filed an assault charge against Rangers, claiming Kudela was attacked in the tunnel after the match.

Meanwhile, striker Roofe was subjected to racial abuse on social media.

The Ibrox faithful are also fully behind the pair and reiterated that support as they put up a 'we stand together' banner at The Rangers Training Centre.

Gerrard shared a picture on Instagram of Kamara next to it with a blue love heart and clapping hands emoji as the Light Blues show they are not willing to let the incident slide.
