Steven Gerrard admits below-par Rangers were fortunate to escape Hamilton with a draw.
The Ibrox men turned in their poorest Premiership performance of the campaign as Ross Callachan's late leveller earned a deserved point for bottom side Accies.
Brian Easton's own goal put the visitors in front at the Fountain of Youth Stadium but Rangers owed their lead to a string of Allan McGregor saves.
A visibly frustrated Gerrard, who confirmed the club will appeal Kemar Roofe's two-match ban, confessed his team "deserved nothing".
He told Sky Sports: "Disappointed with the all-round performance.
"But I should be happy really, to take a point from this game, because we didn't deserve anything.
"Credit to Hamilton, they really got in amongst us today, stopped us playing our normal game, really made it difficult for us and had the best chances throughout the game.
"So, credit to Brian and his team because I'm actually relieved we're going away from this game with a point.
"Very much so (it surprises me). My players have been amazing up until this point, they deserve all the praise and all the accolades they've had.
"But today I've got no praise for them. I can't because it would be false from me.
"We weren't good enough today. We nearly won a game ugly, nearly got a smash and grab.
"We need to be better than that, both sides of our game today just wasn't there.
"The only reason we took the lead is because of our goalkeeper, he was the busiest out of the two.
"Greegs has had probably his busiest game of the season. He keeps us in it, we score a goal and you think we've got away with one here, we could be lucky.

"But credit to Hamilton, they got something out the game and they deserved more.
Gerrard left out the likes of Ryan Jack, Steven Davis and Kemar Roofe for the trip to Lanarkshire and reckons he didn't get enough from those who came in.
Callachan's last-gasp equaliser earned Accies' their first home point against Rangers since 1953 and it could well have been more had McGregor not denied them throughout.
Cedric Itten and Bongani Zungu were both hooked in the second half and Gerrard promised to reflect on his team selection.
He added: "We just weren't at the races and there's so much for me to look through in that game.
"I have to look at myself as well. Maybe I left too much quality and personality on the side because we looked an awful lot better when the subs come on.
"I'll look at myself as well.
"But, listen, we've been absolutely fantastic, amazing, I can't find the words to describe how well we've done in terms of the league this season.
"Today, we just weren't at the races."
