Nottingham Forest and football fans have shared a theory over the managerial position at the club, following the appointment of Ross Wilson as chief football officer.
The appointment of the former Rangers man was confirmed on Wednesday night, with the 39-year-old joining from the Scottish giants. He replaces former sporting director Filippo Giraldi who left the club earlier this week.
"Nottingham Forest have appointed former Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson as the club’s chief football officer following the departure of sporting director, Filippo Giraldi. Wilson joins the Reds with immediate effect, following three and a half years with Rangers.” A club statement read.

The appointment comes amid uncertainty over the future of manager Steve Cooper. The Welshman was backed by club owner Evangelos Marinakis last week, but reports have emerged over the Reds sounding out potential replacements.
The appointment of Wilson, has now led to fans mentioning another name who could potentially be eyed in Steven Gerrard. The former Aston Villa boss started his managerial career with Rangers where he worked with Wilson.
The former midfielder has also become the bookmaker’s favourite to be the next Forest manager. At the time of writing, he is priced at 3/1 with SkyBet.
