Reported Nottingham Forest transfer target Jacob Murphy is being eyed by Rangers.
The Newcastle United winger was linked with a move to Nottingham Forest last week and Championship rivals Derby County, Stoke City, Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday were also credited with an interest.
Wednesday are said to be keen to bring Murphy back to Hillsborough after spending the 2019-20 season on loan in Yorkshire, where he scored nine goals and registered six assists.
However, Rangers have now been linked with a move for Murphy, with Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard putting the former Norwich City man's name on a transfer shortlist.

Any move is dependent on players leaving Rangers, report the Daily Record, with a move for Murphy by no means close.
Murphy looks to have plenty of interest in him this summer after his fine record in the Championship in 2019-20.
Dom Howson, who covers Wednesday for NottinghamshireLive's sister title YorkshireLive, thinks Murphy's spell at Hillsborough has put himself in the shop window.
Murphy only has one year left on his contract at Newcastle.
"I think it will be tough," Howson said.
"Murphy has seriously put himself in the shop window with the form he has shown in 2020. I can see a scenario where there will be a number of clubs keeping a close eye on his situation.
"It also remains unclear whether Newcastle will be prepared to loan him out again next season or look to cash in. If it is the latter, that could make a deal tricky for Wednesday."
