Steven Gerrard insists a bid hasn't yet landed on his desk regarding young right-back Nathan Patterson.
Reports from down south earlier on Sunday suggested Everton were behind a £5m approach for James Tavernier's understudy.
It would surely take more than that for those at Rangers to even consider selling one of Scotland's brightest young talents at 19 years old.
But Gerrard insists it's the first he's heard of it as he insists he'll only take notice if sporting director Ross Wilson gives him the heads up.
Asked whether a bid had been received, the manager said: "Not to my knowledge.
"I'm sure the right person will tell me if that's the case and if there's truth in it.
"I hear a lot of noise and a lot of rumours. A lot of talk about a lot of our players.
"The only people I listen to in this situation is Ross Wilson and the board. If any bids land and they're respectable then we'll discuss them."
