Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has been offered a one-match ban after being sent off against Livingston.
The manager clashed with John Beaton after the referee's decision to book Alfredo Morelos for diving during the Ibrox side's 1-0 victory in West Lothian on Wednesday.
Gerrard approached Beaton at half-time and was quickly shown two yellow cards and sent to the stand.
If Rangers decide to contest the decision, their gaffer will attend an SFA hearing on Thursday, March 25.
Should the club accept the suspension, Gerrard will be absent from the dugout for Saturday's clash with St Mirren but would return for the potential decider against Celtic two weeks later.
The 40-year-old has until March 10 to respond but, either way, he's been cleared to lead his side at Parkhead on March 21.
The Premiership leaders are awaiting an outcome on their appeal against Morelos' caution for diving.
The Colombian striker was shown a yellow card after challenging for the ball with Livi keeper Max Stryjek, but replays showed the shot-stopper appeared to make contact with his opponent.
Morelos went on to score an 87th minute winner to move Rangers within four points of their first league championship in 10 years.
