Steven Gerrard makes it a Rangers manager double as he clinches Premiership award

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has named it a double after being named the Premiership manager of the year.

The Ibrox gaffer adds the award to the SFWA one he received earlier this week to cap off an incredible league season.

Rangers can finish off an invincible campaign with a result against Aberdeen on Saturday and Gerrard has been rewarded for his side’s season.

It’s been an impressive run that has seen them win 31 of their 37 games so far this season with six draws also included.

They’ve conceded just 13 goals during that time while scoring 88 in their 37 matches.

James Tavernier will lift the Premiership title on Saturday following the game with Aberdeen and the whole club are desperate to ensure the season finishes with a bang.

Gerrard admits he's looking forward to analysing the campaign at the end of the season and revealed his pride at what has happened so far.

Gerrard said: "I'm sure after Saturday we'll have some time to reflect and analyse.

"It's been a magical season from my point of view. I'm really proud of the players and what they've given.
